Initiated by the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, 12 reknowned institutions and collections have joined up in one unique collaboration: Art Collection Deutsche Börse, Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie, Deutsche Bank AG, DZ BANK Kunstsammlung, Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, Frankfurter Kunstverein, Kunst- und Kulturstiftung Opelvillen Rüsselsheim, Marta-Hoepffner-Gesellschaft für Fotografie e.V. Stadtmuseum Hofheim, Museum Angewandte Kunst und das MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main, Museum Wiesbaden und NKV Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden.

From June to September, 2015, RAY Fotografieprojekte Frankfurt/RheinMain presents outstanding international examples of contemporary photography and video art. RAY consists of a main exhibition distributed between three central locations in Frankfurt am Main and numerous partner exhibitions and projects in Frankfurt and the surrounding region.

RAY Fotografieprojekte Frankfurt/RheinMain represents the abundance of photographic collections and expertise in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region, and it will be a recurring event in the cultural calendar.

The Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain is dealing with the subject of photography for the first time in the scope of their focus project Transformator der Moderne. Ray 2015 Fotografieprojekte Frankfurt/RheinMain is featured within this context again. The first focus project was Phänomen Expressionismus between the years 2009–2012.
